While in the "I am blind. CHAPTER 1: South Africa" project, my photography was more straight to document the conditions of blind people in a developing country as South Africa is - with a strong accent on the differences between black/white - poor/reach people, in the "I am blind. CHAPTER 2: Germany" I wanted to go deeper into the introspective side of this disease.
I wanted this project to be an attempt to describe the inner part of the blind world, focusing on the detachment between a blind person and the surroundings, so to put an accent on the strength, the determination and the lightness of blind people, so brave to deal with such a terrible illness and to be able to have a full life as anybody else.
